OlderNeil Patrick Harris: Directing Indie Romantic Comedy!
Neil Patrick Harris is stepping behind the camera for his next project!
The How I Met Your Mother star, 37, will make his directorial debut with the romantic comedy Aaron and Sarah, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Emma Roberts and The Kids Are Alright actor Josh Hutcherson are also attached to the indie film as the leads.
Synopsis: “The story follows a geeky guy and a popular girl who become friends as freshmen in high school and see their relationship deepen through the four years, four proms and one funeral before graduation.”

Let me guess – either Emma or Josh’s character dies, and that’s the funeral they go to? Kinda sounds like a version of Bridge to Terabithia.
@Rockstar: It says that the movie is a romantic comedy so hopefully it won’t be a tragic ending for those two characters.
either way, I think I am excited to see how this all pans out. I love Neil Patrick Harris and the actors are pretty good too!
I have always appreciated NPH’s works. He’s such a gifted actor. I think his indie film will do good, especially that Emma Roberts is starring in it.
The last part of the synopsis sounds very, very interesting.

Which means there relationship is supposed to deepen after 4 years of friendship and experiencing a death together – bringing them even closer together. Therefore one of them CAN’T die.
How could they possibly attend their own funeral? F*#k sake.
