Melissa McCarthy's 'SNL' Hosting Scores Solid Ratings

Melissa McCarthy‘s year just keeps getting better!

The 41-year-old Mike & Molly star and Emmy winner hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time over the weekend, averaging a 5.2 rating/13 share – up 4 percent from last week’s premiere with Alec Baldwin.

“I think Melissa McCarthy in the office with the balloons on SNL made me laugh harder than anything this year or decade. The stairs too,” director Judd Apatow tweeted about her sketches, while Jon Favreau wrote, “Now that’s how you host SNL.”
