OlderRicky Gervais to Host Golden Globes 2012
Ricky Gervais will return to host the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced.
“Just told Billy Crystal he’d better not use any of my holocaust or pedophile material at The Oscars. He agreed (true),” the 50-year-old English comedian jokingly wrote on his Twitter page about the 2012 Oscars host.
Next year’s Golden Globes ceremony, which will be held January 15 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, marks Ricky‘s third time as host – a year after he caused some controversy with his jokes during the 2011 telecast.

I’d like to see him even more outrageously insulting tirades from Ricky Gervais about everyone in Hollywood.
It will be his 3rd time hosting the event and I would like to see him co-hosting this time with another comedian to bounce off each other and make it more interesting.
It could also be him passing the baton to a younger comedian and set up a new comedian host who can return and who is a Ricky Gervais level player.

This is the best news ever. Ricky is the only person with big enough balls to stick it to the Hollywood A list and hit them where it hurts….plus this s**t is supposed to be funny! Thats what award shows are about…its not going to be funny if the host just remarks on how beautiful and talented everyone is. Can’t wait for this, hope he goes all out!

Interesting how people seem to enjoy others being put down.
I enjoy comedy that is smart, that doesn’t rely on peddo jokes to be funny or “shock” people.
Ricky can be funny but he is not clever, he can’t make up things on the spot (See Princess Diana concert if you want to cringe at his performance).
People seem to enjoy “mean jokes” now a days, kind of sad because it’s such an easy and cheap way to tell jokes.
