OlderOprah Winfrey: Returning to Television!
Oprah Winfrey is making her return to network television, just months after saying goodbye to her talk show after twenty-five years on the air, according to Reuters.
The 57-year-old television personality’s next small screen venture will involve her leaving the studio and visiting celebs at their homes.
“After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever – moving around the country and the world talking to people I’m really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too,” Oprah said in a statement.
For her first episode, debuting January 1 on OWN, Oprah will interview Stephen Tyler at his New Hampshire home, where the two will discuss drugs, love, and fame.

i dont understand why she did all that noise and big deal when she left TV just to come back a few months later

Her new show is on her network OWN. She already had a new show plus awesome webcast classes that ended last week. She’s not coming back to normal network TV. She’s doing exactly what she said she was. No ploys. Her new network is good. Check it out if you haven’t already.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! This show sounds like A LOT of fun. I miss her after Oscars show. I really hope she brings that back.
Um she has always said that she isn’t going away. Her OWN Channel was airing BEFORE she said goodbye to her talk show.
This “just a few months after saying goodbye to her talk show” crap is just media bias against her. She has always remained adamant that she is not going anywhere.
This show is called her next chapter, so she’s still doing what she does best, but it’s a different format.
So that whole brouhaha was just her saying goodbye to a baby she had for 25 years.

She is coming back because her network is failing. Her core audience is not watching all that self help stuff. her research proved that she has to have a show for the network to be saved. People want to see her talking to celebrities.
