OlderWatch Every Performance from the Tony Awards 2012!
The hottest shows on Broadway were showcased during the 2012 Tony Awards held at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.
The four nominees for Best Musical performed – Once, Newsies, Leap of Faith, and Nice Work If You Can Get It – along with other new musicals – Godspell, Ghost the Musical, and last year’s Best Musical, The Book of Mormon.
The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, Follies, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Evita, the nominees for Best Revival of a Musical also performed during the show!
The evening’s host Neil Patrick Harris opened and closed the show with a musical number and Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas’ cast of Hairspray performed via a live broadcast.

Neil is such a good host. Jackmans wife is so ugly, but he seems to love her anyway. Lame bunch of musicas this year. Once was ok but it is a let down compared to the movie. Nothing that will last beyond a year or so. Except spiderman. But this years had storg plays. Clybourne Park is incredible and Peter and star catchers is good.

Ricky has no Indian and black in him which is why he is light enough to play the role of a Argentinia. He’s not mixed from slave times.
I agree. The Argentinians are very particular about that since 99% percent of the Argentinian population are Italian and Spanish, as in Spaniard European.
Puerto Ricans practice the insane self-hating doctrine of endogamy. That means that light skinned family members marry each other to maintain the family’s lighter skin because they believe that lighter skinned Puerto Ricans are better and more high class than darker skinned Puerto Ricans. Something Ricky took to his heart since he chose a white anglo woman for her eggs and a white anglo sperm donor. He thought his twins might look too dark like Jennifer Lopez’s Emme and Maxx.
