Jake Gyllenhaal: 'If There is I Haven't Yet' Opening Night!
Jake Gyllenhaal poses following his Off-Broadway opening night performance in If There Is I Haven’t Found It at the Laura Pels Theatre on Thursday (September 20) in New York City.
The 31-year-old actor recently spoke about his character Terry in the play to Playbill magazine.

“I fell in love with the character at the start,” Jake shared. “He brings a sadness to the play, and I’m drawn to that darkness. He’s a real avoider, like everyone in the play. Perhaps that disconnection is what connected me to him. I love his techniques of avoiding, how he speaks in short sentences and unfinished thoughts. The way each character talks looks differently on the page. I love the architecture of the words.”

First time I see him really beeing happy for months. Maybe the theatre stage is his new home. I wish him all the best
Love him so much ..it’s time for the old actors to give chanes for the younger actors
Love Jake. I think good indie movies and perhaps theater is where he belongs, not big (crappy) blockbusters.
Jake deserves an level up of his career. He looks really good recently.
The Mitt Romney of actors.

Jake is a character actor trapped in a good-looking leading man body. But just because he has a beautiful face and athletic body it doesn’t mean blockbusters are for him. On the contrary: theater and quality movies (small budget, soulful stories) are his thing.
Just like now with “If There Is…” + “End of Watch”: off-Broadway quirky British play + intense, gritty, impressive 7 mil. $ movie.
He looks great, but I wouldn’t mind if he got rid of the beard.
I’m seeing this play next month! I’m really looking forward to seeing Jake on stage.
Jake looks sooo happy. I can’t wait to see EOW!
Gorgeous Jake!!
Not only does he look awesome in these pics, but from what I’ve read, he and the play are getting very good reviews. Go for it Jake. Also one of his costars is Michelle Gomez an hysterical actress from Scotland that does a lot of theater but has also is in one of the funniest television show ever (it’s British, but you can get it on Netflix) Green Wing. Her role in particular is insanely funny. But the who’d cast is great.
Good on ya Jake. Glad you look so happy. You deserve it.
