Older'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' Tops Weekend Box Office
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters has topped this weekend’s box office with $19 million grossed!
The film stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as the classic fairytale siblings who now travel the world hunting witches fifteen years later.
The film also brought in $35.8 internationally, according to THR.
Coming in at number two was the horror flick Mama starring Jessica Chastain, which brought in $12.9 million in its second week of release.
Holding strong in third place was the Oscar-nominated film Silver Linings Playbook with $10 million and a total gross of $69.5 million so far.
Rounding out the top five was Zero Dark Thirty with $9.8 million and the new Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez thriller Parker with $7 million.
The star-studded comedy Movie 43 brought in $5 million and came in seventh place.

Hansel & Gretel was a great movie. Best onscreen siblings ever. Who knew they were that bad***. lol. Loved it. Critics tore the movie apart but if you go on tumblr everyone who saw it on there enjoyed it. They also ship those two like nothing else. & I have to admit …. I am one of those lol
@Verity I saw it too on Saturday and loved every bit of it. Saw it in 3D and that was probably the best 3D movie I have ever seen. I admit I jumped back a few times because it really felt like things were coming at me. Not to mention I ship Hansel and Gretel like nothing else. Is that wrong? lol

Saw it this weekend in IMAX 3D and it was awesome!! Ridiculous weapons, exploding witches, F-bombs and great action. Hope they make this a franchise, I’ll see every one

I hope that there is part 2 of the movie, ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters because as what I have seen, it’s really nice and I want to see them both again in a fairy tale movie doing action.
