Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Premieres Big!

Marvel’s new television show Agents of SHIELD raked in strong ratings for its premiere episode with 11.9 million viewers overall, according to Variety!

The Joss Whedon show stars Chloe Bennet (Skye), Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson), Brett Dalton (Agent Grant Ward), Ming-Na Wen (Agent Melinda May), Iain De Caestecker (Agent Leo Fitz), and Elizabeth Henstridge (Agent Jemma Simmons).

The show pulled in a 4.6 rating in the important 18-49 demo, which means that 4.6% of all television equipped homes were tuned in for the program.

Agents of SHIELD‘s great ratings ranked as the top drama premiere of any television show since November 2009! Congrats to the cast and crew on the great start to the season!

@SHINE: Walking Dead is # 1, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was great.

It is going to have a big drop off next week. The premiere was a bit week and not strong enough to hold onto casual viewers.
