She really was one of a kind. There was no one else like her. There are a few other “go for broke” female comedians (e.g. Sarah Silverman, Chelsea Handler, etc), but Joan was the first and the best. I loved how she could crack such offensive jokes but still be as charming as ever. They may as well cancel The Fashion Police. She was why it was such a success.

  • med

i did like some of her comments at all but that’s really sad, it almost sound unbelievable

  • good riddance

good riddance. she’s been dead for quite some time on the inside anyway. that face looks like a zombie wearing a melting mask. see ya later obnoxious self-absorbed new yaker.

  • hahaha

    @good riddance: New YAKER? Idiot.

  • Levi

I’m too young to have known her I was introduced to her by her comments of Palestinian children. So I do hope she is Roasting In Pain in th deepest circle of hell.

You NEVER say a child no matter who they are – deserves to die. NEVER. That is the one thing that can NEVER be funny – unless you’re a monster behind that mask.

  • Rachel

@Levi so you can’t say a child should deserve to die but you can say an old lady who just died did deserve to die? Lol hypocritical to say the least. you hate her for doing something you’re doing now. dumb!

  • nikki

LOL at the rebuttal, great point

  • sx

@Rachel: @nikki: nice logic (not). he is not wishing death to any children, so no, he’s not being hypocritical.

  • Sasha

Robin was NEVER mean!! Her name shouldn’t be mentioned next to his!,

  • Sux

@sx: Yes he is. He’s doing exactly what he’s criticizing.

  • Rachel

@sx: He’s not wishing death to children but he’s wishing Joan Rivers is ‘Roasting In Pain in th deepest circle of hell.’ That is definitely hypocritical.

Not to mention, just keep in mind actions speak louder than words. Joan may have said things you don’t agree with, but at the end of the day, NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE, has ever said she treated them badly. Try and find one person who said she treated people poorly. You cannot. Every single person who has met her has said she has the hugest, kindest heart. I have personal experience with that. You do not.

  • moi

thanks for checking out… about time… please don’t dishonor Mr. Williams by mentioning her in the same sentence.

  • vickie

Everyone has become so “politically correct” these days that there is no problem with feeling “entitled” to show others a dark side of you just as you’re judging Joan Rivers. I can assure you that anybody who followed her years as a comedian will tell you that some of the things she said would make people cringe. Rightly so. So that should cancel out the millions of laughs that she produced? Nah. To feel it’s okay to write some of the things that have been written? People like that scare me, not the Joan Rivers of the world. I hope nobody says to you when someone close to you dies, thank you for checking out. A 50 year career span wasn’t built on this horrid person or it wouldn’t have lasted so long. Leave the judging to God. She probably has Him laughing now. RIP Joan. It’s your time to rest.
