Pregnant Kate Middleton is Still Ill with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, Cancels Solo Malta Trip

Kate Middleton is still very ill with Hyperemesis Gravidarum and had to cancel her very first solo trip to Malta this upcoming weekend.

“The Duchess of Cambridge will no longer visit Malta this weekend. The Duke of Cambridge will undertake the visit instead #RoyalVisitMalta” the Clarence House Twitter account updated early this morning (September 18). “HRH continues to suffer from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. The decision was taken on the advice of doctors #RoyalVisitMalta”

However, Prince William will step in and go in the Duchess’ place.

“The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to represent The Queen on the visit, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of Malta’s Independence,” the Twitter account concluded.

Hyperemesis Gravidarum is a form of morning sickness – you can find out more about the illness here.

We hope Duchess Kate feels better soon!

That happens when you dont eat in your first pregnancy. Yeah, karma plays an important role.

  • Ignorance

@health: Ignorant fool, you have no idea what you’re talking about. You’ve obviously never been pregnant.

  • courtney

@Health morning sickness is triggered by how a woman’s body reacts to the surging hormones of pregnancy and often prevents them from eating because they can’t keep down food from constant nausea. and if you’ve had it severely once it’s likely to repeat in subsequent pregnancies as Duchess Kate is experiencing now never been through it myself but my mom had it with both her pregnancies and for the entire nine months plus Duchess Kate is at a high risk for twins because they run in her dads family and William’s late mother Princess Diana’s and twins are known for coming prematurely and at a lower weight than singletons do

I sympathise immensely with Kate my daughter going through the same at the moment. Absoloutely awful, the sickness, blood pressure dropping visits to hospital for drips, always tired and look and feel awful. Just hope symptoms go after 3 months. Good luck to Nancy and Kate, wishing you both well. xx

Waity was just out to a pub for dinner with Baldy. After everyone was claiming she had “HG”. Funny how Willy nor Waity will come out and say “hey no, it’s just ordinary morning sickness”. They take the HG thing and run with it. Waity knows she gets sympathy that way. It’s an insult o women who really have had “HG”.
Last time, “first pregnancy} supposedly “HG’ as well, yet Waity took a long-haul flight to Switzerland ! And went to an awards dinner, and other things. Who knew that HG could be so much fun ?!

@nicole: Kate does NOT have “HG”. She didn’t have it last time either. You’re bed-ridden or in-hospital if you have it….for months. She was just out at a pub for dinner, come off it.

@Ignorance: Waity might have morning sickness but not “HG”. She’s already been out running around to pubs with Willy. It’s a farce.
