Kanye West will not be appearing at the 2017 Grammy Awards despite having a bunch of nominations this year and Kris Jenner is explaining his absence.

The 39-year-old rapper’s mother-in-law was a co-host on E!’s Live from the Red Carpet special and she said that Kanye is in New York preparing for his upcoming Yeezy fashion show.

“The truth is he’s got a big fashion show in New York because it’s New York Fashion Week,” Kris, 61, said. “And my entire family is back there… Some of the kids are on their way tomorrow.”

“He’s got a lot of work to do. We wish he could be here!” Kris added.
