Taylor Swift Pictured in Courtroom Sketches from Trial in Denver

Taylor Swift is currently in court for her trial against radio host David Mueller.

The DJ sued Taylor after he was fired for allegedly groping the singer at a concert meet-and-greet. She filed a countersuit, alleging that she was sexual assaulted by Mueller.

Taylor is reportedly only seeking $1 in damages and is fighting in court out to take “a stand for all women.” Her attorney said in his opening statements on Tuesday morning (August 8) that “this is a case of sexual assault in the workplace.”

“A woman is assaulted. She reports it and she gets sued … it doesn’t make sense,” the lawyer said (via People). “She’s trying to tell people out there that you can say no when someone grabs you no matter who they are.”

Taylor‘s hair was in a low bun and she wore a long-sleeved dress over a shirt. Her mom Andrea Swift sat alongside her and reportedly got emotional during the opening statements.
