Ellen Pompeo Slams Reports 'Grey's Anatomy' Exits Are Due To Her Salary Increase

Ellen Pompeo is firing back at rumors and reports suggesting that her Grey’s Anatomy co-stars’ surprising exits are due to her salary increase.

The 48-year-old star took to Twitter on Thursday (March 8) to respond to the “unfortunate” claims that her $20 million salary is to blame for Sarah Drews and Jessica Capshaw exiting the hit medical drama after season 14.

“Its unfortunate that @DEADLINE chooses to try to pit women against eachother on #InternationalWomensDay #shameonyounotme,” Ellen first tweeted.

Back in January, Ellen revealed how much she makes per Grey‘s episode while also sharing that she signed another two-year deal with the show.

“I’m a big girl @DEADLINE can take shots at me if they want but to the fans please don’t fall into that trap. This is above my pay grade,” Ellen also wrote.
