Queen Elizabeth Releases Statement About Devastating California Fires Ravaging Meghan Markle's Home State

Queen Elizabeth just released a statement offering support.

The message, which was sent to Donald Trump in a message titled, “A message from The Queen to The President of The United States of America,” said, “Prince Philip and I offer our deepest sympathies to the people of California, who continue to suffer from the devastating fires across the state.”

The statement continued, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victims, and to all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. I pay tribute to the courage and dedication of the US emergency services and the volunteers that have provided support.”

Duchess Meghan Markle, the newest member of the royal family, is from the state of California.

NBC is reporting today that the death toll has reached 71 people, while officials are still trying to locate 1,011 people affected. Around 52,000 people have been displaced due to the fires.
