Karamo Brown Reveals He & Antoni Porowski Once Had an 'Extreme Amount of Conflict'

Things weren’t always great between the Queer Eye cast.

During a recent interview, Karamo Brown revealed that there used to be so much tension between he and Antoni Porowski that they barely talked to each other.

“My castmate from Queer Eye, Antoni, people didn’t know that we had an extreme amount of conflict,” the 38-year-old cast member shared with E! News. “We did not talk to each other at all during season 1, even though we were shooting together.”

Despite not getting along, Karamo and Antoni stayed professional and kept the drama off of the camera.

“On camera, it was always about that person and about creating something successful, so that was genuine,” Karamo said. “But off camera, the minute that camera stopped rolling, ‘Girl don’t come near me.’ And vice versa, he didn’t want me to come near him.”

While he didn’t get into what their feud was about, Karamo did reveal that “someone in-house” got involved and made their drama worse.

“Our personalities got along, but then a third party got involved and once that third party got involved, he and I couldn’t even talk to each other,” Karamo continued. “We were too busy hearing rumors of what this third party was spreading about both of us.”

Once the two both realized “there was a third toxic party messing” with them, Karamo and Antoni had an hour-long conversation where they hashed everything out and ended their feud.

“We were like, why did we just go through all those months of b.s.,” Karamo said.
