Taylor Swift Reveals Plan to Re-Record Her Old Songs

Taylor Swift says she plans on re-recording her old songs after her old master recordings were purchased by Scooter Braun, someone who she does not like.

The music mogul purchased her old label Big Machine Label Group for $300 million, which means he now owns all of her old recordings. Taylor still owns the publishing rights for all of the songs she wrote.

In a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning, which will air this weekend, Taylor was asked if she plans on making new recordings of the old songs so she regains control of the recordings.

“Oh yeah,” Taylor responded. The interviewer then said, “That’s a plan?” and Taylor said, “Yeah, absolutely.”

Page Six is reporting that there are terms in her contract with Big Machine that could prevent her from actually releasing new recordings though.

Make sure to get Taylor‘s new album Lover when it drops on Friday!
