Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck is Retiring from NFL - Report
It looks like Andrew Luck is done with football.
ESPN is reporting that the 29-year-old Indianapolis Colts quarterback will be retiring after seven seasons in the NFL.
“Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL, per source. There will be a press conference Sunday to make it official, but Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted.
Andrew has been battling injury after injury over the years with most recently a lingering calf issue that has held him out for much of the off-season.
NFL reporter Ian Rapoport also tweeted, “After battling injury after injury, the word is that #Colts QB Andrew Luck was simply too worn down to continue. And so he abruptly retires at age 29. Jacoby Brissett is the new QB of the Colts.”
Andrew Luck will reportedly be confirming his retirement during a press conference on Sunday, August 25.
