Don Imus Dead - Legendary Radio Host Dies at 79

Don Imus, best known for his radio show Imus in the Morning, has passed away at the age of 79.

The former radio personality’s cause of death has not been revealed yet, but his rep confirms that he had been in the hospital since Christmas Eve, according to THR.

Imus died on Friday morning (December 27) at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station, Texas.

Two years ago, Imus retired from his radio gig. He was controversial throughout his career for making offensive statements. CBS Radio fired him in 2007 after he used a racist slur while talking about the Rutger University women’s basketball team.
