She wrote several more tweets that you can read on her page and fans are calling out the tweets as transphobic.

@jk_rowling we get it. Failure to express empathy for trans women, trans men & nonbinary folk shows us exactly who you are. You spitefully Pushing These words that connect with those of people who do not want us recognized legally in public spaces. You're heart is exposed.

What the actual fuck??? This is so disgraceful, @jk_rowling. Of all the hills to die on, and for what reason? Trans women are women and they are fighting for their lives. When you push this trans exclusionary agenda, you make their lives infinitely more difficult. Shame on you.

I am so disappointed in Rowling, an author who convinced many young children (especially closeted kids like me) that if people worked together they could build a better and more just world where all belonged. Why does she refuse to be a part of the kinder world she once wrote of?

.@jk_rowling your transphobic, divisive, inhumane, disgusting opinions are 100% the problem. Take your voice, your franchise, your presence, and be gone. EVANESCO!
PRIDE MONTH! And I stand with my entire LGBTQ+ community, especially my Trans family.#PrideMonth #LGBTQ

You are a world-renowned billionaire author of a beloved children’s book series and THIS is the battle you want to fight? A righteous proclamation of trans exclusion? In THIS economy? Jesus fucking Cho on a Ching Chang cracker. https://t.co/M5zFo7EVwD

She has such a powerful voice. Why is she using that voice to die on a hill of transphobia? It is damaging and sad and makes zero sense. Is it really her belief that trans women somehow threaten her own selfhood? What is she so fucking afraid of? https://t.co/Hef4LkV8Ri

@jk_rowling !!! You are actually a monster! I think Voldemort is actually your soul! Gender identity is different for everyone! Someone don’t identify with a gender . Some identify with the gender of male who are trans and who are cis. https://t.co/PZwTf1slCA
