Apple TV+ Has a Shocking Amount of Users Who Don't Pay for Subscriptions

A new report reveals that Apple TV+ doesn’t have many paying members.

You might be aware that anyone who buys an Apple product, like an iPhone or an Apple Watch, is gifted a one-year free membership to the streaming service.

Variety reports that in the fourth quarter of 2020, 62% of Apple TV+ subscribers said they were using a free promotional offer.

The study, which was conducted by research firm MoffettNathan, also revealed that an alarming number of people did not plan on paying for memberships when their free trials end.

29% of the people who are using free trials said they do not plan on resubscribing, 30% of them said they will keep their subscriptions at the $4.99 per month price, and the rest were unsure.

The report also revealed that 16% of Disney+ subscribers were using a promotional offer through Verizon and 23% of HBO Max subscribers were using a promotional offer through AT&T.
