The young artist recently spoke about her inspiration for writing the hit song.
“I went to this party about two years ago, when I was 16. I hated it because I felt really uncomfortable and really shy for some reason. Everyone else seemed like they were having fun except for me and it made me reflect a little bit,” Alessia told Refinery29. “I went to the studio the next day because I had a session with Sebastian Cole and a brother-producer duo from Toronto, Sammy and Bobby Gerongco. I got into the studio with them and they asked what’s going on in my life and what do you want to sing about or what do you want to write about? That party just kept popping up in my head and I told them about it and they said let’s just write about that.”
The 19-year-old singer dropped the song earlier this month and is set to be the lead single off of his upcoming untitled album.
“The music video is definitely in the works. I actually shot two videos. The first one is kind of like a more black and white dark type of vibe like in the street. It’s a really cool vibe. The second one is of me in an office building with a bunch of other random people are we’re just dancing and having a good time. It was pretty fun,” Austin said to AOL about an upcoming music video for the song.
The track, produced by Diplo and the Picard Brothers, is confirmed as the lead single off his upcoming second solo album, which is scheduled to be released later this year – Buy the song on iTunes now!
