Kardashian Kids Are Not the Focus in 'The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story'

Ryan Murphy takes the stage with John Travolta and Sarah Paulson to talk about his new show The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story at the FX portion of the 2016 Winter TCA Tour held at the Langham Huntington Hotel on Saturday (January 16) in Pasadena, Calif.

The trio was joined by the rest of the cast, including David Schwimmer, Cuba Gooding Jr., Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Sterling K. Brown, and Courtney B. Vance.

“In the 10 episodes, there are over 400 scenes that were written,” Ryan said (via EW). “Of those 400 scenes, only four or five of them involve the Kardashian children. That gives you a grasp on how important we felt they were to the story.”

Also in attendance at TCA that day were The Americans stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, Baskets creators Louis C.K. and Zach Galifianakis, and Atlanta‘s Donald Glover.

“Rodeo clown came first. For self-centered reasons I knew I wanted to play somebody bitter and angry,” Zach expressed about his character (via WSJ). “And the pretentiousness of doing it at a French clown college made Louis C.K. and I laugh. The show at first was going to be a behind-the-scenes of ‘Between Two Ferns,’ but I couldn’t make that work in my head.”
