Reese Witherspoon Hits The National Mall

In her sportiest role yet, Reese Witherspoon sprints around The National Mall, an open-area national park in downtown Washington, D.C., on Tuesday afternoon (June 16).

The 33-year-old actress shot scenes for her new not-yet-titled James L. Brooks movie, which is being directed by James L. Brooks (1997′s As Good as It Gets). Co-star Owen Wilson has also been shooting in town at the new Nationals Ballpark.

Reese has spent the last few months training for this role — especially on the softball field!
