LeAnn Rimes: I Will See Such Pretty Things

LeAnn Rimes, wearing a top with the phrase “I will see such pretty things,” quickly pops into Fred Segal to do a bit of shopping on Monday (October 26).

Back in April, the 27-year-old country singer received the Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot Humanitarian Award. As part of that award she and other volunteers showed up to construct a new playground for children in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

“It really is gratifying,” LeAnn told CMT Insider. “I mean, this is the best part of my job — and especially when it involves children — to see their life change and their faces light up. They really are so excited to come out here and to be part of this event and have this new playground. … I’m not a celebrity when it comes to these kinds of things. I’m just a human being, and to lend a helping hand and just put a smile on a kid’s face is really what it’s all about.”
