Molly Shannon: Ex-Nun Comedy on HBO!

Molly Shannon is set to star in an HBO comedy about an ex-nun who discovers the world outside of a convent!

The 46-year-old funnywoman will play a nun who joined the sisterhood after having her heart broken as a teenager but leaves the convent a woman in her early 40s who knows nothing about the tawdriness of the world.

“It’s James Joyce meets Judd Apatow – a female 40-Year-Old Virgin with a huge dollop of Catholic weirdness thrown in,” writer/producer Tim Long told Deadline.
