Salma Hayek: Not Being Able to Wear Heels Is Tragic!

Salma Hayek arrives at The Ed Sullivan Theater to tape an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman on Monday (October 24) in NYC.

The 45-year-old actress talked about her ankle problems over the past year, starting with two torn ligaments.

Salma said she then twisted her ankle again a few months later, right before she was supposed to play a stripper/prostitute in a French movie.

“The worst part about it is you can’t wear heels. You’ve never been a Mexican short woman! This is tragic,” she told Dave. “I often say, had it not been for high heels, I would still be in Coatzacoalcos [in Mexico] with 10 kids and this big!”
