Ziyi Zhang Slams Sex Scandal Allegations

Ziyi Zhang is threatening to take legal action against media outlets reporting her involvement in a Chinese politician sex scandal.

“The accusations made against [the 33-year-old actress] are completely false and defamatory,” her rep tells JustJared.com. “There is no truth in any of the allegations that have come forth which are a result of calculated cruel intentions against a well-respected established actress. Legal repercussions are ensuing and these scandalous reports will not be tolerated in any way.”

One Hong Kong newspaper alleged Ziyi – whose credits include Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Memoirs of a Geisha – pocketed more than $100 million to have sex with high-ranking Chinese officials since 2007.

“We just want to help her get rid of this disturbance and seek justice,” Ziyi‘s rep added. “Then she will be able to shoot her films in peace and quiet and present you, her fans, with more and better films in return.”
