Matthew Morrison Dedicates 54 Below Performance to Cory Monteith
Matthew Morrison honored his late co-star Cory Monteith during his performance at 54 Below on Sunday (July 14) in New York City.
According to the New York Times, the 34-year-old Glee actor acknowledged Cory‘s tragic death in the beginning of the show, calling him his “brother.”
Matthew opened the show with an a capella version of “What I did for Love,” from the musical A Chorus Line, which was also featured on Glee.
“You guys came to see a show, I came to perform a show, so that’s what we’ll do. And we’ll do it in Cory‘s honor,” he told the audience, as he gave a two-finger salute.
Cory was sadly found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver after not checking out at the time he was expected to leave on Saturday (July 13).
