Kate Winslet Was Pumping Breast Milk During the Earthquake!

Kate Winslet gets a gift from Ellen DeGeneres while making an appearance on Ellen, airing on Tuesday (March 18).

The 38-year-old Divergent actress chatted about where she was when the earthquake hit that morning.

“I’ve never been in an earthquake. No, never. And so it’s 6:20 something or other and I’m sitting in the hotel here in LA and I’m pumping because I have a 14 week old baby,” Kate said. “I’m here for 48 hours I couldn’t bring him. It’s too far. It’s a 12-hour plane ride. And so I’m pumping, staring at my beautiful picture of my beautiful baby boy and my husband is on the other line and the room starts to shake.”

“So, I said I’ve got to go. I got to call you back. Hung up, ran into the doorframe with my friend who was with me and she’s like it’s an earthquake,” Kate added. “Don’t worry (sound of pump) it’s passing see it’s passing it’s gonna pass (sound of pump) see its pass, see it’s almost gone. Breath, it’s fine (sound of pump). I just carried on pumping through the whole entire thing.”
