Tobey Maguire is Really Bulking Up at the Gym!

Tobey Maguire checks messages on his blackberry after wrapping up a gym workout on Friday (June 13) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The day before, the 38-year-old actor was spotted carrying a small bag while heading to his car.

It was recently announced that Tobey and his producing partner Matthew Plouffe have acquired movie rights to Peter Carlson‘s book “Junius and Albert’s Adventures in the Confederacy: A Civil War Odyssey.”

The book centers on “two Northern journalists working for the pro-abolitionist New York Tribune – Junius Henri Browne and Albert Deane Richardson – who were caught by Confederate soldiers and imprisoned in seven different prison camps over 20 months before escaping from North Carolina in late 1864.”
