Rose Byrne Says She Only Gets 'Half Applause' on Broadway

Rose Byrne is ravishing in red while sitting down for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (September 18) in New York City.

The 35-year-old actress was there to promote her new movie This Is Where I Leave You, as well as her new Broadway play You Can’t Take It With You, which just began performances.

“It’s really exciting. James Earl Jones is in the play. He’s a legend of stage and screen and he gets a huge thunderous applause when he comes on stage, obviously, because he’s just magnificent,” Rose said on the program. “I come on after him and I wasn’t expecting an applause, but I get sort of a worse thing. Like a half applause. Like an ‘Ehhh. Sure, she’s on the poster. Who is this girl?’ I never know whether to stop or not. I think it’s just my friends who come every night.”
