Marion Cotillard Is Sad People Didn't Connect with 'Nine'

Marion Cotillard rocks a matching top and shorts while walking the carpet at the 2015 Film Independent Filmmaker Grant and Spirit Awards Nominees Brunch on Saturday afternoon (January 10) at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 39-year-old actress later changed into a floor-length dress to attend the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party. Marion is nominated for an Independent Spirit Awards this year for her work in The Immigrant.

Marion recently talked to the Huffington Post about how her movie Nine didn’t do well.

“I was kind of sad that people didn’t connect with [Nine] because I love this movie so much,” she said. “That was an amazing experience with, of course, Daniel Day-Lewis… I love this movie, and this movie is here forever now, and I know that Rob Marshall loves this movie too and is very proud of it. I don’t know if you really need to explain why it didn’t work.”

FYI: Marion is wearing a Thakoon top and shorts with Nicholas Kirkwood shoes at the brunch. She is wearing a Bottega Venetta dress at the tea party.
