Michael B. Jordan Gives Mom Superhero Title At Lupus LA Orange Ball 2015

Michael B. Jordan puts up his dukes with Sylvester Stallone as they arrive for the 2015 Lupus LA Orange Ball: A Night Of Superheroes held at Fox Studio Lot on Saturday night (June 6) in Century City, Calif.

The 28-year-old Fantastic Four actor was honored at the ceremony for his work with the foundation.

“Lupus LA has given my mom incredible encouragement and has also provided her vital support and services, but what Lupus LA has done for me was finally give me an opportunity and a way to help my mom,” Michael shared during his speech. “As an actor I’m lucky enough to wear a costume as a member of the Fantastic Four…but I can think of no greater superhero than my mom.”

Empire‘s Serayah, Taylor Spreitler, Hannah Simone, Ahna O’Reilly, Toni Braxton, Karina Smirnoff and Shay Mitchell were also in attendance for the annual event.

“Guys. I met @TheSlyStallone tonight. I fangirled like a 13 year old meeting Justin Bieber. My dad is so proud,” Taylor, 21, shared on Twitter after the event.
