Emma Watson Starts Work On 'The Circle'

Emma Watson pays attention to some direction from a crew member while on the set of The Circle on Friday (September 11) in Los Angeles.

Karen Gillan and Patton Oswalt were just recently added to the flick.

Deadline reports that Patton will play Tom Stenton, the tight-lipped, Italian suit-wearing, tough-dealing throwback to a 1980s Wall Street trader who commands respect. He’s one of the “Three Wise Men” founders. Karen will play Annie, a warm, cute, goofy, old-money confident and fiercely intelligent member.

The Circle, also starring Tom Hanks and John Boyega, centers on an Internet monopoly that links users’ personal emails, social media, banking and purchasing with their universal operating system. The result is one online identity and a new age of civility and transparency – which turns out not to always be a good thing.
