Ricky Gervais Wants You to Think He Won an Emmy Tonight

Ricky Gervais does a fake cry face while pretending to accept an award on stage at the 2015 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 20) in Los Angeles.

The 54-year-old actor was making an appearance to present an award when he pretended as if he won. He actually is nominated tonight for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for Derek: The Special.

“Back again!” Ricky said. “To lose another one. Go on. I haven’t lost yet. Still hope. There’s no hope.”

Ricky then pointed out that “no one remembers” who wins anyway. “In a few days’ time, people will see a picture of me up here and they’ll go, ‘Well, he won then,'” he said. Watch the rest below!
