Bellamy Young Describes Tension Backstage at 'Live!'

Bellamy Young, the first guest to appear on Live! with Kelly and Michael after Kelly Ripa’s Tuesday (April 26) return, has revealed the vibe backstage at the taping was “tense, bless their hearts.”

The Scandal actress described the behind-the-scenes relationship between Kelly and Michael Strahan in an appearance on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM show Dirty Sexy Funny.

“Backstage there was some tension because it could have gone any way, but once it was underway, it was beautiful,” Bellamy said. “Kelly gave a monologue. She got to clear the air, and then they went on. They’re professional people, and there’s a lot of love.”

Bellamy said the duo wasn’t speaking backstage before they made their entrance onto the set holding hands.

“Then everybody went out, and the show started,” Bellamy continued. “And everybody remembers that we’re grown-ups and we have jobs and we do our jobs.”
