Mr. Robot's Rami Malek Explains Why He Doesn't Use Instagram

Rami Malek wears a hoodie and looks tired as can be while filming a scene for Mr. Robot on Thursday (May 19) in New York City.

The 35-year-old actor recently opened up to the Los Angeles Times about why he doesn’t use his Instagram account. While he has a verified account, he has only posted two photos that were taken at the Golden Globes and deleted within ten minutes.

“I thought, ‘What are you doing? Who do you think you are? This is not you,’” Rami said. “People are spending so much time staging photos — what they’re eating, how much fun they’re having … even the way they shape their faces in the pictures is contorted. Everything is filtered. Everything is manicured. It’s a house of cards and it’s going to come crashing down one day and you with it.”
