Sara Bareilles joins the cast of the Broadway musical Waitress for a performance at the 2016 Tony Awards held at the Beacon Theatre on Sunday (June 12) in New York City.

The 36-year-old singer wrote the music and lyrics for the new musical and she joined star Jessie Mueller to sing the show’s signature song “She Used to Be Mine.”

The full cast of the musical began the performance with the show’s opening number “Opening Up.” Sadly, the show didn’t pick up any awards during the ceremony.
