Meryl Streep Says Singing Badly In 'Florence Foster Jenkins' Was Surprisingly Easy!

Meryl Streep keeps it cool and casual while arriving on the set of Good Morning America to promote her latest film Florence Foster Jenkins on Tuesday morning (August 8) in New York City’s Time Square.

“To sing badly was surprisingly easy.. sadly,” the 67-year-old actress joked. “It was great fun, she was very specific in how she sang. She was a woman who just loved music and she gave lots of money away to the symphony and all sorts of music enterprises in the city.”

The evening before, Meryl‘s Florence Foster Jenkins co-star Hugh Grant attended BAFTA New York with Tribeca Shortlist hosts In Conversation With Hugh Grant to promote the flick, which hits theaters on Friday (August 12)!
