NFL & Pepsi Deny Offering Adele Super Bowl Halftime Show

It sounds like Adele wasn’t asked to play the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show after all.

The NFL and Pepsi just released a statement denying the 28-year-old singer’s claim that she turned down the offer.

“The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele,” the organizations told Billboard. “We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time.”

Adele reportedly told the crowd at her show this weekend that she said no because “that show is not about music.”
