Jay Z & Beyonce Speak Out About Upcoming Election During Hillary Clinton Event
Beyonce and Jay Z declared their support for Hillary Clinton during a Get Out The Vote concert on Friday night (November 5) at Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The power couple not only took the stage to perform their hits, but also made poignant statements about the upcoming election.
“Less than 100 years ago, women did not have the right to vote. Look how far we’ve come from having no voice to being on the brink of making history by electing the first woman president…I want my daughter to grow up seeing a women lead our country and knowing that her possibilities are limitless. And that’s why I am with her,” Beyonce said on stage.
Jay Z added, “I want my daughter to grow up in a world where she has no limitations. She feels like she can be whatever she wants to be in the world.”
Later, Hillary took the stage and quoted Jay Z‘s song “My President” saying, “Jay memorably said something we should all recall: ‘Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther could walk. And Martin Luther walked so Barack Obama could run. And Barack Obama ran so all the children could fly!’”
