Nikki Reed & Ian Somerhalder Are Taking a 'Month of Silence' After Daughter's Birth

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are new parents, but don’t expect to hear them talk about their newborn daughter Bodhi anytime soon.

In an interview that was released just one day before the birth news, Nikki, 29, opened up about her plans for after welcoming her first child.

“We’ll take the baby’s first month for ourselves,” Nikki told Fit Pregnancy and Baby. “After the baby arrives, we’re doing one month of silence. Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate.”

“You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present,” she added.

Nikki and Ian welcomed their baby girl into the world on July 25, so we can assume that their recent social media posts were either cued up or pushed out by their team!
