Amber Heard Launches Fundraiser to Help Sick Syrian Refugee Child She Met on Mission Trip (Video)

Amber Heard is doing what she can to give back.

The 32-year-old Aquaman actress took to Instagram on Thursday (May 24) to make a plea to help a sick 12-year-old girl named Weam she met during a recent mission trip to Syria.

Amber went on to talk about Weam‘s battle with thalassemia – a genetic blood disorder – while revealing that she needs a blood transfusion every 20 days, costing her family almost $1,000, which her family cannot afford.

Amber is now raising money to help cover the costs of Weam‘s medical expenses.
