Shawn Mendes and James Corden are competing in a cover song battle!
The 19-year-old “In My Blood” singer and the 39-year-old Late Late Show host battled it out in a new segment for the show, which Shawn has been co-hosting all week.
In the video, Shawn – aka DJ Stitches – shows up to James‘ spot on the subway platform, where James is already well into James Blunt‘s “You’re Beautiful.”
The two then do everything they can to establish their domain, performing Oasis‘ “Wonderwall,” Jerry Lee Lewis‘ “Great Balls of Fire,” Rihanna‘s “We Found Love,” Backstreet Boys‘ “Everybody,” and Shawn‘s “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.”
Watch them pull out all the stops below!
Shawn also took the stage for a performance of “Like to Be You” with co-writer Julia Michaels, as well as his “Perfectly Wrong.”
