Danielle Brooks Calls Out 'Ocean's 8' Prison Scene!

Danielle Brooks and Uzo Aduba are all smiles while posing for photographs at their Orange Is the New Black sixth season Atlanta screening and Q&A held at the Landmark Midtown Arts Cinema on Monday (July 16) in Atlanta, Ga.

Recently while promoting the hit Netflix series, Danielle, 28, voiced that she had a problem with a scene in Ocean’s 8 where Sandra Bullock‘s character is seen in full make-up while in prison.

“Fu-k it, I can just say it. First of all, yes, I’m here for all these women working,” Danielle declared (via The Guardian). “But the fact that the first minute, Sandra Bullock’s got all this make-up on and she’s in prison? Her hair’s got waves in it! I was like, ‘What the heck is this?’”

“The important thing is prison reform and immigration, and civil rights issues. That’s really what the show is about, and I think Taystee brings people back to that,” Danielle continued about OITNB. “We ain’t got no make-up on, we got all the same outfits on…”
