Edith Gonzalez Dead - Telanovela Star Dies at 54

Edith Gonzalez tragically passed away on Thursday morning (June 13) at at Ángeles Interlomas Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico. She was 54, CNN reports.

The telenovela star was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer in 2016. She then had her ovaries, uterus and lymph nodes removed.

She spend decades in television and most recently starred as Eva Soler in Eva La Trailera in 2016. Eva is survived by her daughter, Constance, and her husband, Lorenzo Lazo Margáin.
