A$AP Rocky Testifies in Assault Trial in Sweden

A$AP Rocky has given his first testimony at his trial for alleged assault after a confrontation with a 19-year-old man in June in Stockholm, Sweden.

“Everything seemed to be going fine,” the 30-year-old rapper said, when he was approached by the 19-year-old man, Mustafa Jafari, who he said started talking to his security guard.

“Next thing I know, my security guard was lifting one of them…[it] got a little scary. We didn’t want to provoke these guys, we just wanted to get away from them,” he added (via Variety).

“[Mustafa] was fearless, his eyes were all weird, he came up to a big bodyguard and asked us questions he knew we couldn’t answer. He looked like he was on drugs,” ASAP said.

The prosecutor Daniel Suneson is claiming that surveillance footage from a nearby burger restaurant was edited by Rocky’s team to go along with the self-defense claim. He claimed that the unedited footage “disproves the use of emergency defense.”

Earlier this week, A$AP Rocky revealed his plea to the court.
