Julianne Moore Says 'After The Wedding' Means A Lot To Her & Husband Bart Freundlich!

Julianne Moore is all smiles in a pink suit as she makes her way out of the Good Morning America studios on Thursday (August 1) in New York City.

During her interview, the Oscar winner opened up about recently having her own category on Jeopardy: “It was amazing. I was shocked!,” Julianne said. “I was absolutely shocked. I never thought — I mean category, who is a category?”

Julianne also talked about the Oscar buzz surround her role in her new film After the Wedding: That feels great. Are you kidding? And we’re thrilled,” she said. “I mean obviously this movie means a lot to my husband [Bart Freundlich] and to me. It’s something we produced he wrote it and directed it so we want people to come and see it so whenever you hear that kind of stuff you get excited because people will maybe see the movie.”

“So often in movies and TV you see women who have a lot of authority, a lot of power and they’re sort of presented as the mean lady or a caricature,” Julianne expressed about her role. “This person is someone who’s built a big life, she has a big career and a company this she’s built – but she also has a family. She’s equally invested in so you see someone who’s been able to do it all and very fully representative. That I love. That’s important for us all to see.”
