Zoey Deutch Says 'Politician' Co-Star Ben Platt Is One Of The Greatest Singers Alive

Zoey Deutch brightens up the city in her orange suit while arriving for her appearance on Today in New York City on Thursday (October 2).

The 24-year-old actress stopped by the show to talk about her newest project, Netflix’s The Politician.

During her interview, Zoey revealed that something pretty major happened on the first day she was supposed to sing in the series.

“I got laryngitis the day I had to sing,” she admitted during her interview. “It’s always that way.”

Zoey later admitted that showrunner Ryan Murphy and co-star Ben Platt didn’t actually know she had it until that point.

“My finest acting performance was lying through that,” she joked. “But it was really fun to sing with one of the greatest singers alive in Ben Platt.”
