Anna Paquin Says Only Six Words in 'The Irishman' & Fans Are Praising Her Performance
Anna Paquin is one of the many big name stars who is featured in the new Netflix movie The Irishman, but fans have been pointing out one detail about her role in the movie.
The former Oscar winner is only on screen for 10 minutes out of the film’s 3 hours and 30 minutes runtime… and she only has six words of dialogue.
While there are some fans on Twitter who are bashing the film’s creative team for giving Anna barely any lines, others are praising her for delivering an incredible performance without speaking for most of her time on screen.
The Irishman is currently playing in select theaters ahead of its streaming debut on Netflix on November 27.

So as you guys know I’m very touchy about films denying women characters a voice or agency. But I gotta say criticism of Anna Paquin’s character in THE IRISHMAN are wrong-headed. She and the actress who plays her as a kid may not have many lines but her character speaks volumes.
